Smart roof access hatches and roof access points


Staka roof access hatches are used to create safe access points to flat roofs. Invisible from the ground but essential for inspecting and performing maintenance on the roof and/or equipment on the roof. The use of a roof access hatch in a design results in cost savings as a boom lift is no longer required to access the roof. In addition, the use of a roof access hatch prevents the appearance of a building being disturbed by ladders on the façade.

Product development

Developments in the field of sustainability mean a thicker roof insulation layer is increasingly used. Staka has responded to this by raising the standard height of the upstand of the roof access hatch. This improvement along with the high thermal insulation value and the use of stainless steel as a material ensure a sustainable concept suitable for every flat roof. Other developments are visible in the ease of installation thanks to improved adhesion properties and in the field of design by using clear glass in the cover.
