Roof access hatch with extension ladder

The Staka TopAccess roof access hatch with ladder is used in many premises with flat roofs, such as offices, canteens, and theatres. The roof access hatch is integrated into the roof thanks to its inconspicuous design, making it difficult for unauthorized persons to reach and impossible for them to open.
The roof access hatch has an unique insulation value of U = 0.21 W/m2K and is TÜV certified.

If you need to access the roof to perform inspections or repairs, you can hook a separate ladder on to the upstand of the roof access hatch. This provides a sturdy and safe means of accessing the roof. While the gas pressure springs ensure that the roof access hatch opens smoothly, they also ensure that it is locked in the open position. You can lock the roof access hatch with a cylinder lock and store the ladder wherever suits you best.

The Staka roof access hatch with ladder meets the EN 14975 standard. The rungs of the SafeStepSystem and the ladder have an anti-slip design. The large width and even level of the rungs make the ladder safe and stable, while the light construction and plastic guide points simplify the task of mounting the ladder.

Ladders

Staka SafeStepSystem®

The SafeStepSystem is unique to Staka roof access hatches. The last rung to the roof is easily installed in the upstand of the roof access hatch by following the installation slots in the upstand and the installation manual supplied. This Staka innovation halves the installation time, prevents construction defects, and makes for an attractively finished roof hatch.

The SafeStep rung in the upstand is equipped with mounting points for the ladder. The corresponding aluminium ladder is equipped with two hooks, firmly anchoring the ladder in place and providing you with a safe means of accessing the roof. As an option, you can choose a lock for mounting the ladder on the roof access hatch. This will prevent the ladder from being removed when you are on the roof.

We supply the roof access hatch completely mounted and provide an easy-to-follow instruction manual. Installation is simple: mount the roof access hatch in the hole in the roof, apply the roof insulation against the upstand, and stick on the roofing material.

Staka ladders are equipped with hooks that perfectly slot into the SafeStepSystem. This provides a user-friendly and safe means of accessing the roof. Ladders from other suppliers are not equipped with these hooks, but can be used if necessary. There are ladders available for every height of roof. Remember to specify the height required when requesting a quote.
