London Design

First staged in 2003, the London Design Festival is one of the world's most important annual design events. The Festival programme is made up of over 300 events and exhibitions staged by hundreds of Partner organisations across the design spectrum and from around the world. This year's London Design Festival will take place 13-21 September.

Over the Festival period there are hundreds of events taking place across London encompassing a wide range of design diciplines. The many partner organisations put on a dazzling variety of events that show the richness and depth of the design activity that takes place in the capital. To that is added a series of major events at the London Design Festival at the V&A, as well as high profile Landmark Projects in some of London's most iconic spaces.

Don't miss 'A place called home' in Trafalgar square for which house-sharing platform Airbnb has linked up with Jasper Morrison, Patternity, Raw Edges and Studioilseis. The title of this year’s Airbnb piece and the fact that four very different designers have been commissioned is meant to be reflective of the breadth of weird and wonderful properties like loft spaces and tree houses, which are on Airbnb’s books. Brian Chesky, CEO of Airbnb said: ‘As a design-led company with a creative community of hosts and travellers, we believe in the power of design to create meaningful and memorable experiences. The chance to partner with the London Design Festival to celebrate these ideals, in one of the world’s most creative capitals, is an amazing opportunity for us.’
