Roof access hatch with retractable ladder
Why choose a TopAccess roof access hatch with retractable ladder? If you want a safe and practical way to access the roof. The access hatch with retractable ladder acts as an access point to a flat roof, for instance for inspection and maintenance.
The roof access hatch has an unique insulation value of U = 0.21 W/m2K and is TÜV certified.
When closed, the Staka-designed roof access hatch with retractable ladder gives the impression of a flat ceiling. The aluminium retractable roof access ladder fits entirely into the built-in casing, and the wooden ceiling hatch conceals it very neatly. If you want to access the roof, you pull down the integrated retractable ladder with an operating pole. At the top of the ladder, you can open the roof hatch by hand.
With a Staka roof access hatch, you can be sure that you are purchasing a well-designed product. This will become clear during installation, which goes smoothly thanks to the smart solutions and clear manual. That will bring its own rewards in the long term thanks to the high-quality materials and low-maintenance construction.
Install roof hatch and ladder
Are you looking for a qualified contractor to install a Staka roof access hatch with retractable ladder on your roof? Request an offer from an installation partner in your area.
A TopAccess roof access hatch comprises two large parts: the upstand and the cover. The upstand is the part that you install on the roof. The cover is the part that closes off the upstand.
A Staka access hatch with retractable ladder is supplied with everything you need: with a clear installation manual, installation frame, the necessary brackets, and if applicable a plenum space bridging element. The retractable ladders are suitable for a maximum ceiling height of 3250 mm. These retractable ladders can be combined with roof access hatch models 900x700 mm, 1400x700 mm and 1500x900 mm.
Integrated mounting of retractable ladder
Staka has made the installation of a roof access hatch significantly simpler. You can simply hang the retractable ladder from the ceiling using the supplied brackets. The installation frame (between the roof and the roof access hatch) features openings allowing the retractable ladder to be installed at a later stage if desired.
The roof access hatch is installed during the structural construction phase, after which you waterproof the roof. The retractable ladder generally follows at a later stage of construction, the fit-out stage. This means the ladder is clean and undamaged upon completion.
You don't need to construct anything extra or drill into the ceiling to hang up a Staka retractable ladder. This makes installation much simpler compared with retractable ladders, pull-down ladders, and folding ladders made by other manufacturers.
Installation in lowered ceilings
If you are installing the roof access hatch with retractable ladder in a space with a lowered ceiling, and the distance between the ceiling and the roof is more than 350 mm, you should opt for the roof access hatch model DL147 (1400x700 mm) with a plenum space bridging element. With this strong aluminium construction, you can install the necessary extra steps.
Safety of roof acces hatch with retractable ladder
The Staka roof access hatch with retractable ladder satisfies the requirements of EN 14975. The retractable ladders have a pre-installed telescopic handrail. The cast aluminium steps feature a non-slip profile.
