Roof access hatches are installed to provide a safe means of access to a flat roof. In certain cases the roof may be sloped. This is certainly not a problem, but there are some things that have to be taken into account.
The roof access hatch can be mounted to match a roof pitch of up to 40 degrees.
In the case of a roof access hatch with retractable ladder, the roof hatch must be installed with no slope. All sides must lie perpendicular to the roof so the retractable ladder will function properly and the steps will be level.
For a roof access hatch with extension ladder the hatch can only be placed at an angle in the length, because the extension ladder must pass through the short side of the hatch.
