The roof hatch is constructed symmetrically so the cover can be opened either to the left or to the right.

The diagonal handrail on the inner cover can also be easily removed and mounted on the other side. Pre-drilled mounting holes are provided on both sides. One of the two gas springs always has a locking sleeve that automatic latches in the open position. These can also be easily swapped side to side, as they are attached with a click system. Use of this click system means no tools are required if you need to swap the gas springs.
