Roof hatch for school roof maintenance

A number of installations, such as air conditioning units, are often placed on the roofs of schools, necessitating access to the roof. Additionally, access to the roof is also very practical when performing rooftop inspections.

Safe roof access with a roof hatch

For this project, a roof hatch with ladder was selected for roof access. The ladder was combined with the hook-on step, ensuring that the ladder cannot slip and remains sturdy while hooked on. Four bolts can be used to easily affix the hook-on step to the roof hatch.

After you have accessed the roof, you can close the cover and remove the risk of falling through the opening. The roof hatch will not lock, meaning that you can easily open the roof hatch and descend to the floor below when you are finished with the maintenance.
