For the sustainable residential development Wisselspoor in Utrecht, Staka supplied several TopAccess roof access hatches. This mixed-use urban district blends industrial heritage with modern architecture. To ensure safe and easy access to rooftop technical installations, contractor Van Wijnen selected Staka’s reliable, fully integrated roof access solutions.
The installed roof hatches – models TOP147 and TOP99 – were supplied with extension ladders, and one unit with a scissor stair. This combination ensures both flexibility and safety during maintenance. With a thermal insulation value of U= 0.21 W/m²K, the TopAccess hatches also contribute to the energy performance of the buildings.
Designed for outstanding insulation and longevity, the TopAccess roof hatches are ideal for sustainable building projects. Their thermally broken construction and premium stainless steel housing ensure excellent thermal performance. KOMO and TÜV certifications provide added peace of mind and long-term reliability.
Several of the hatches were combined with an extension ladder – a lightweight aluminium solution suitable for floor heights up to 9 metres. The ladder is easy to use and can be safely stored using the Staka SafeStepSystem. A cost-effective and secure option for maintenance access.
One of the hatches was equipped with a scissor stair, ideal for areas with limited ceiling height or where aesthetics are important. The compact design folds neatly into the ceiling when not in use, maintaining a clean interior finish. The stair allows quick, safe, and ergonomic roof access in accordance with EN 14975.
